Looking ahead, I aim to continue my development in the direction of Innovation Management with a particular focus on the role of project manager within interdisciplinary design and innovation contexts. Preferably in the domain of wellbeing and sports-related technologies. This direction comes from my professional identity and vision in which I believe myself as a designer to be someone who connects people, data and technology to support reflection, awareness and meaningful engagement with everyday experiences.
My final bachelor project has reinforced this direction by showing me how complex it is to translate emerging technologies such as sensors and data systems into experiences that are not purely performance-driven, but instead support interpretation and reflection. During my studies I often found myself naturally taking a coordinating role: aligning team perspectives, translating technical input into design decisions and shaping the overall narrative of the project. This has made me aware that my strengths li beyond making and designing artifacts and also lie in structuring processes, facilitating collaboration and guiding direction across disciplines.
The Innovation Management master aligns with this development, as it focuses on bridging technology business, and design strategy. I want to further develop my ability to manage complex innovation processes, especially in contexts where multiple stakeholders, technologies and constraints need to be aligned. In particular, I want to strengthen my competence in turning early-stage concepts into viable real-world solutions by combining user-centered design thinking with strategic and organizational decision-making.
From a professional identity perspective, this future role builds on my strengths in visual communication, conceptual translation and user-centered design. While also challenging me to further develop in areas such as decision-making under constraints and prioritization. Where I currently tend to focus strongly on detail and quality of experience, I aim to grow toward a more balanced approach in which I can make timely design decisions without losing sight of the overall vision.
Ultimately I hope to grow into a role where I can combine design thinking, strategic coordination and technological understanding to lead projects that contribute to healthier and more reflective interactions between people and technology.
